Special Challenge One - "Changes & Survival" Challenge
Begin – Sunday 11.45pm (ET), 8.45pm (PT) Introduction Welcome to Day 33 in survivor-webcam 3.0. It’s been roughly a month since you began this game. Enough time to know one another, plan out your strategy and plenty of time to decide your fate in this game. Four people before you have been voted out. Obviously, fate was not in their favour which would explain why you’re here and they’re not. Today is not an Immunity Challenge or a Swing Challenge, it’s a different Challenge. Tonight, something very different is happening and I’ll be honest with you right now, somebody may be voted out this week, somebody may not. It depends on the choices you decide to make tonight and over the course of the next day. The game of survivor-webcam is constantly changing and more often than once. This game will not get any easier. Many assumptions have been running rampant over the past few days, since the "changes" Treemail. Many assumptions were based on clues given. I'll neither confirm nor deny any of those assumptions. What I will do, is tell you live, in tonight's open-challenge chatroom. Everything you need to be told, will be told there. Be ready to accept the invite. Tonight's Challenge is not an Immunity Challenge nor a Swing Challenge. It's a different Challenge. One that may have the frosted appearance of an Immunity Challenge, when in reality is something completely different. The question is, what are you competing for? What are the details? Those details are about to be sorted out but in the meantime, I have provided the information you need to know for this Challenge and what both tribes need to do to win it. Background Information/Directions Tonight/Tomorrow, your Tribe will creating a website. This website will be composed of four pages. Each person in the Tribe will contribute one page to the entire website. Each page you do will deal with each of the four sections listed at the very top of this page (Surviving the Host, Surviving The Challenges, Surviving The Social Politics. Surviving Tribal Councils). The website will be called the "survivor-webcam 3.0 Survival Guide". This guide must be inuitive, easy-to-read, easy-to-follow and easy-to-interpret. Write this Survival Guide as though you were writing it to someone who has never heard of, or watched SW or any of it's predecessors. Being a traditional survivor-webcam Challenge and keeping with that tradition, only four people from each side will be doing the leg-work of this challenge. Take note that one person is sitting out in Chock Dee and three people in Sanuk. Please post in your tribe forum, who is doing what and who is sitting out BEFORE you begin the challenge. Basic Instructions For Building Your Individual Page 1. Start off by make a title at the very top. If you chose "Surviving Tribal Councils". Make sure you put that at the very top of your page. Doing so, will earn you an automatic 100 points, right off the bat. 2. Add Information about the subject you are discussing. Make the first paragraph of your page the "Introduction". Having an introduction to your section will earn you 100 points. 3. If you explaining a particular section, include photos. You can include diagrams, charts, examples, skits, just about anything to get your point across. 4. Your section cannot exceed one page. Everything for your section MUST be one page and one page only. 5. Each of the four people are doing one of the sections below. Nobody can do the same section. Specific Instructions For Each Section Section One: Surviving Your Host You've worked with me for over four weeks. By now, you should know what is the best way to confront me in any situation. Set this section up for the reader to get a grasp on what kind of Host they will face, when they are playing the game. You may include skits, diagrams, and examples to get your point across. Include some of the rules of the game: Make a list of "No-No's" - These are things you DON'T do when you are dealing with the host. These are things that will likely cause me to have a cardiac arrest. Discuss ways to avoid such terrible demise. Make a list of "Helpful Hints" - These are things that might have helped you deal with the Host (even on his crappy days). Explain my method of operating this game. Overall, explain how I run this this game. When doing this section, yes, you can poke fun, as long as it doesn't berate or offend your Host. Use good judgement. Label the completed html document as "YourNameHost.html" or you will be deducted 500 Points. Section Two: Surviving The Challenges You've
done four immunity challenges, you are now working on your fifth.
By now, you know what happens, maybe you even have a special routine
that you go through before you begin a challenge. Heck, you might
have some sort of ritual that prepares you for an Immunity Challenge.
Share it! Make of list "No-No's" - These are things you DON'T do when you are in an Immunity Challenge. Surely, you've all encountered some conflicts by now (minor and major), why not discuss them and possible ways to avoid them. Make a list of "Helpful Hints" - These are things that might have helped you get through Immunity Challenges. Explain the usual format/methods of Immunity Challenges in this game. When doing this section, yes, you may poke fun at others, as long as it does not aim to specifically offend anyone in this game. Use good judgement. Label the completed html document as "YourNameChallenges.html" or you will be deducted 500 Points. Section Three: Surviving The Social Politics of the Game You've been essentially "living" together (for lack of a better term) for three weeks now. Surely you've encountered some conflicts, or on the up-side, some very tight bonds and friendships. Set this section up, to explain how to deal with conflicts and other elements of the game, with respect to the "social" aspect of Survivor: Webcam. Include diagrams, skits, and examples to get your point across. Explain how things can go wrong or go extremely well, when you are dealing with 16 different personalities. Explain what happens when people clash, or when they get along. Explain how to deal with unexpected changes of events (ie. Splits, Twists, Switches, etc.). Gather your own personal experience to help get your point across. Make of list "No-No's" - These are things you DON'T do when you are in a setting like this. Surely, you've all encountered some social situations that may have been less-than-enticing. Explain how to best avoid conflict in this game (fights, arguments, etc.). Make a list of "Helpful Hints" - These are things that might have helped you get through the rough parts of the game (ie. emotional). Explain what one can expect when thrown into a situation very similar to the one you guys are currently in. When doing this section, yes, you may poke fun at others, as long as it does not aim to specifically offend anyone in this game. Use good judgement. Label the completed html document as "YourNamePolitics.html" or you will be deducted 500 Points. Section Four: Surviving Tribal Councils All of you, at one point or another have encountered the dreaded vote (ie. Tribal Council). In this section, explain what Tribal Council is all about, what you can expect and what kind of emotional burden it can put on you and your tribemates. Include diagrams, skits, and examples to get your point across Make of list "No-No's" - These are things you DON'T do when you are dealing with Tribal Council. Make a list of "Helpful Hints" - These are things that might have helped you get through the rough parts of Tribal Council (emotional). Explain how Tribal Council works in this game and what can be expected when you go. When doing this section, yes, you may poke fun at others, as long as it does not aim to specifically offend anyone in this game. Use good judgement. NOTE: When doing your section, always draw from personal experience. It will make the Survival Guide more varied and less monotonous. People will be reading these. Label the completed html document as "YourNameTC.html" or you will be deducted 500 Points. Being Evaluated Points, for each page(section) will be awarded for the following: 1. Each paragraph (defined as anything with 4 or more sentences) that is on your page, that explains different things (with respect to your Section), will earn you 100 points. 2. Each skit that dramtizes something or exemplifies a particular aspect of your section will earn you 500 Points. You may include other peope in your skits. There are NO limits to what your skits can contain. 3. Each coinciding diagram that describes or exemplifies a particular aspect of your section will earn you 500 Points. 4. Each individual image on your page, that helps to get your point across (for your section), will earn you 100 points. 5. Having a title at the very top of your page (telling me what section I am reading), earns you an easy 100 points. 6. The initial pargraph (defined as anything with 4 or more sentences) what introduces the reader to your page and what you are about to discuss will earn you an easy 100 points. 7. Doing your lists of No-No's is worth 500 Points. 8. Doing your list of "Helpful Hints" is worth 500 points. Linking Your Sites Together Your sites must be linked to one another, in chronological SEQUENCE. If 'Person A' does Section One - "Surviving Your Host", there should be a link at the bottom of the page that links to Section Two - "Surviving The Challenges" (Person B's page), and so forth. If this is not done, your entire Project will be deducted 500 points. This Challenge is very open-ended. What you do from this point on, is solely up to you. Make sure you do work that will gain you points. Flash & Javascript and other extras will not count as extra points. They are worth nothing. Basically, do what will get you points. If you want to do extras, that is up to you as an individual or as a group. Your webpage can be shared and hosted on one site or on a combination of different sites. Just make sure all sections link in chronological order. No acceptions will be made for this rule. Submitting The moment you are done with your page, email me your link individually. So in total, I should receive 4 seperate emails from 4 different people, on each tribe. Each email should contain a link to your html. As was the case in the previous challenge, find whatever resources you can use, to host your page and put it together. Helper - What The Hell Is A Skit? This is an example of a skit (taken directly from survivor-webcam 1.0) - Immunity Challenge Nine - "The Pie Adventure" (credits: Joey and Mark)
This is for the chance to get a new player in your game and a new opportunity. Very political challenges ahead of you, for the next couple days. Good Luck! |
